Of course wine is always great! But adding certain things other things to it – like that finely toned builder at number 12 or the yoga obsessed redhead at number 13 – seems to amplify its greatness to unthinkable levels.
Cheese is one of those things and today, in a cave in Roquefort, France in 1070 some lucky devil invented Roquefort cheese. (It says it somewhere on the internet so it must – absolutely – be true.) And that, my friends, is a good reason to drink some wine today.
In fact why not actually get some cheese and have that as well alongside your usual night time bottles of vino? Why not ask the builder or the yoga obsessed redhead. (Ask them both and double the fun.)
In fact why not be super daring and actually get some Roquefort? (Although, crikey – have you seen the price?! And actually any old cheese will do anyway – the photo being Gorgonzola to prove that it doesn’t really matter – we all know it’s about the wine. Just use what’s in the fridge or, if there isn’t any cheese, just have something else. Cheese flavor tortilla chips’ll do. Or wine gums. Just be sure, at some point to raise your glass to remember the lucky devil who left some milk hanging around for a bit in a cave and returned to find something that perfectly complimented wine.
Vive la France. Vive la belle rouse. Vive le constructeur.
